First Aid at Work plus forestry (FAW+F) and Emergency First First Aid at Work plus Forestry (EFAW+F) Glasgow and Throughout Central Scotland.

The Health & Safety Executive prescribe that Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) courses should be delivered over 6 hours, not including breaks. The First Aid at Work (FAW) courses should be delivered over 18 hours, not including breaks.

Our First Aid at Work plus Forestry (FAW+F) and Emergency First First Aid at Work plus Forestry (EFAW +F) covers all the subjects that are required within the traditional FAW and EFAW plus:

Our forestry first aid course includes the Forestry Commission recommend topics:

Severe bleeding (i.e. chainsaw injury)
Crush injury
Hypothermia
Lymes Disease

Certification: Successful candidates receive the accredited EFAW or FAW qualification through Qualsafe with a covering note/certificate confirming the additional +F content covered. If you already hold one of these two qualifications, the additional +F content can be covered in a separate 2 hour training session to give you the first aid skills required according to Forestry Commission First Aid Policy.

Our courses can be delivered on or offsite and we offer discounts for groups and onsite courses.

In addition to the FAW+F and the EFAW+F we can tailor into your training the QA level 2 Safe Movement and Handling course (1 day) or QA Level 2 Award in Principle of Manual Handling (Half Day) both of these course are accredited through Qualsafe and meet all the guidelines of the Health and safety Executive.
